Oxygen Absorbers

Oxygen absorbers are used to protect packaged foods and other products against spoilage, mold growth, color change, loss of nutritive values, insect damage and loss of quality. By removing residual oxygen inside packaging to below 0.01% this 700CC oxygen absorber effectively preserves packaged foods without the need for food additives/preservatives and without the need for vacuum sealing.

In order to properly package food in a Mylar bag with oxygen absorber(s), it is important to achieve a good seal. This 12” impulse sealer provides a 5mm wide seal in order to assure a tight seal. It is easy to use and very convenient, as there is no warm-up time for sealing.

Oil Free Pump

The oil free vacuum pump can be used with any size freeze dryer. They are quiet, fast, and easy to use. The Harvest Right oil free vacuum pumps do not require oil changes and do not require regular user maintenance.

This product does not come standard with a new freeze dryer order.

Oil Filter

One free oil filter is included with the shipment of each freeze dryer.

    Filter is not dishwasher safe.


     First use:

     • Remove cartridge packaging, grip the top of cartridge and place into cartridge holder.

     • Firmly press in cartridge until it makes a firm seal.

     

     OPTIONAL: The dial on lid can be set and used as a general reminder of the month you last filtered your oil.

     

     Oil Filtration Directions:

     1. Open the oil reservoir drain valve and allow oil to drain into your oil filter. Assure all of the oil comes out by lifting the

    rear of the vacuum pump slightly. 

     2. Wait for the oil to filter through your filtration system. 

     3. A small amount of water accumulates in the oil as part of each batch. When the oil is filtered, the water and oil

    will separate. The water will sink to the bottom of the bottle while the oil floats on top of the water. 

     4. Remove the water from the oil by pouring o  the oil and discarding the water. Do not pour the water back into the

    vacuum pump. This will ultimately damage the pump. 

     5. Pour the filtered (or new) oil into your vacuum pump.

Filter should only be used for vacuum pump oil.

  • Medium molds have a total of 60 sections per tray (each section measures 1" x 1")
