The Katadyn Base Camp Water Filter provides large quantities of safe, potable water, without having to pump your arm off to get it. Using the same efficient glassfiber purification cartridge as found in the Hiker Pro filter, the 2.6 gallon bag is filled with water and hung from a tree. Gravity does the rest of the work. The glassfiber/Activated Carbon core filter eliminates sediment, harmful bacteria, cysts - including Giardia, and Cryptosporidium and freshens the taste of the water by absorbing odors, chemicals and pesticides. The Base Camp Water Filter is the perfect solution to high water volume needs of large groups. The pleated Hiker Pro water filter is good for 200 gallons, depending on water quality. An on/off valve and long hose assist in filling containers without wasting water. Depending on the size of your group, you might need several of the Base Camp filter.
